The MorganScott Ballet Bronx Outreach Program began in a community garden in 2000. In 2001, The New York Times published a Sunday Arts and Leisure article which began as follows:

"Classical music spills out onto a dull street in the Bronx , mingling with unexpected sweetness with the sounds of merengue down the block. Just inside the Sherman Avenue Community Garden , the finishing touches are being put on the impromptu wood stage that has just gone up. Two sleek young ballet dancers arch and spin in rehearsal, watched not only by their choreographer but also by passers-by, a woman leaning out a window across the street and men and women of all ages who have gathered to see these exotic flowers growing in their community garden."

Please check the website later for program details.

The MorganScott Ballet Bronx Outreach Program was chosen as NY1’s New Yorker of the Week.  Click here to be taken to their website to replay the video clip of the coverage.

Instruction to the Bronx students is provided free of charge so that family income does not determine opportunity. If you care to support this endeavor, you may send a tax-deductible contribution made out to "The MorganScott Ballet" and write "Bronx Outreach" on the description line.
